PERUEXPRESION Compañía de Folklore (Peru)

It is a Peruvian artistic company with more than 20 years of experience performing on the major stages of Lima, offering artistic productions that blend dance, music, theater, and other performing arts elements inspired by Peruvian folklore.

Peru Expresión Compañía de Folklore (Peru) was founded by Fabricio Varela, Fiorella Ferrucci, Mauricio Salas, and Angela Castillo with the mission of researching, preserving, and promoting the diverse expressions of Peruvian folklore through dance and music. Two decades later, Angela Castillo and Mauricio Salas founded PEX Dance Company in North Carolina to continue and expand this legacy in the United States. Deeply connected to Peru Expresión, PEX shares its repertoire and choreographic approach, maintaining the artistic ties that gave rise to both initiatives while bringing Peruvian folklore to new audiences and cultural contexts.
